Manage Citations
Table of Contents

There are three main programs you can use to manage your citations: EndNote, RefWorks and Zotero. EndNote is software you download on your computer that's powerful but harder to use. RefWorks is easier to use, and all online so you can access your citations from anywhere. Zotero is an extension for Firefox that captures citations from webpages. See the Citations LibGuide to figure out which one is right for you.

If you bought your computer from Princeton's Student Computer Initiative, you already have EndNote installed. Otherwise you'll need to buy it from the Software Store.

Download the extension at and get started. Note that there's a desktop version in development that you can try out now; this works with Safari and Google Chrome browsers as well.
